The Ecological Project Manager at Civil & Environmental Consultants in Monroeville, PA, will lead project teams in navigating environmental regulations for various clients. Responsibilities include supervising staff, managing projects from design to construction, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Overview
As an Ecological Project Manager for Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. in our Monroeville, PA office, you will grow and manage project teams to navigate today’s complex environmental regulatory landscape, helping our commercial, institutional, and energy clients to achieve and maintain regulatory compliance. You'll supervise staff ecologists and lead projects. Working with clients, contractors, and local government officials, you will impact the whole project - from conceptual and design phases, through the regulatory review process and construction. Occasional fieldwork and overnight travel may be required.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Ecology, Biology, or related technical field (Master's degree preferred)
10+ years of experience in one or more of the following areas: Stream and Wetland Delineation, Natural Stream Channel Restoration, Threatened and Endangered Species Consultation, and/or Environmental Permitting and Reporting
Demonstrated client development and management experience to assist in expanding the delivery of our services to the energy, solid waste, mining, and real estate markets
Proficient in regulatory requirements under PADEP Chapters 102 and 105 and CWA Sections 401, 402, and 404
Demonstrated understanding of Federal regulations from agencies such as USEPA, US Army Corps of Engineers, and US Fish & Wildlife Service
Excellent technical writing abilities
Demonstrated experience providing technical expertise and mentoring to staff in the ecological practice
Ability to manage multiple activities, mentor technical professionals, and engage and grow your client base
Experience with FERC 7c of the Natural Gas Act (preferred)
Local and national contacts and the ability to develop and market to new and existing clients (preferred)
