About the Role

We are seeking a recent graduate or early-career ecologist with a passion for the outdoors and a positive attitude to join our Ecology & Biodiversity team in Sydney. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with senior ecologists on projects across New South Wales and Australia, applying their knowledge of NSW flora and fauna to provide advice to clients.

The role involves participating in field survey programs to collect ecological data, supporting the interpretation and application of environmental legislation, and assisting in the preparation of reports and proposals.

Key Responsibilities
• Apply knowledge of NSW flora and fauna to assist senior ecologists in providing advice to clients
• Participate in field survey programs to collect ecological data
• Support the interpretation and application of environmental legislation
• Assist in preparing reports and proposals, including budgets and resourcing plans
• Travel to remote areas to conduct field survey programs

Required Skills and Qualifications
• An appropriate tertiary qualification in Science, Environmental Science, Environmental Management, or a related field
• Working knowledge of NSW flora and fauna
• Scientific or consulting report writing and computer skills
