Description

This role presents an opportunity to join a pioneering venture focused on the development and execution of utility-scale energy storage projects. As an Energy Storage Asset Manager, you will be part of a growing team dedicated to managing assets across various ISO/RTOs nationwide, ensuring optimal performance and efficient operations after commissioning.

Key Responsibilities
• Takes charge of daily management tasks for allocated portions of battery storage assets to guarantee project optimization and efficient operation post-commissioning.
• Contributes significantly to portfolio management by reviewing and recommending commercial agreements, including PPAs, O&M, transmission interconnection, development leases, project financing, and entity structures.
• Leverages expertise in financial analysis to lead asset-based accounting initiatives, collaborating with the Accounting Team to create and analyze operational budgets.
• Develops and tracks commercial and technical key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure project development assets meet milestones and maintain peak performance of operating plants.
• Provides operational and engineering expertise to Project Development, Pre-construction, and EPC Teams on aspects of design, contractual terms, warranties, and project risk assessments that could impact cost and performance over the asset's lifecycle.
• Serves as a liaison between Project Development, Pre-construction, and EPC Teams, providing commercial guidance on P&Ls, budgeting, energy deal structures, PPAs, and cash management.
• Takes a proactive role in operational planning of outages, switching orders, and maintenance requests to minimize downtime of renewable energy operating assets.
• Oversight of operational compliance needs for battery storage renewable energy assets, focusing on NERC/FERC and ISO/RTO requirements of 3rd party service providers.
