Driver - Canberra area

RecycleSmart is seeking a Driver for the Canberra area. Responsibilities include supervising local drivers, ensuring timely pickups, and developing relationships with recyclers. Applicants must live in Canberra, have an unrestricted Australian driver's license, their own vehicle, and a strong environmental mindset. The position requires excellent customer service skills and availability for weekday morning shifts. Pay ranges from A$30 to A$40 per hour.

About your responsibilities:

As an area manager you will be responsible for:
• Supervise, support and create routes for other local drivers and make sure operations run smoothly in your area
• Safe, professional and timely collection of all pickups assigned
• Develop relationships with our partner recyclers
• Optimize operations in your area
• Perform residential and business collections as needed

About you:

As well as having amazing customer service skills and a Can-Do, flexible attitude, you will have:

• Strong environmentally driven mindset
• Unrestricted australian driver's license
• ABN
• Working rights in Australia
• Your own vehicle
• The confidence to safely drive and navigate through busy streets and suburban roads
• Availability to work week days in the morning (from 8am flexible start)
• Willing to learn from the daily challenges every start up brings to the table
