Job Description

Varaha ClimateAg Private Limited is hiring a District Coordinator for the Regenerative Agriculture (Maize & Cotton Project) in Nashik, Maharashtra. The role involves overseeing project implementation, training block-level teams, coordinating with partners, and managing field operations. Candidates should have a degree in Agriculture or related fields and 3+ years of relevant experience. The position requires travel within the district and offers a competitive salary and benefits.
We are seeking a committed District Coordinator to ensure high-quality implementation of the regenerative agriculture project at the district level. The role will supervise block-level teams, coordinate with partners, and drive efficient execution of project activities, reporting directly to the Project Manager.

Roles and Responsibilities
• Oversee the quality supervision and smooth implementation of project activities across the assigned district.
• Train, mentor, and provide regular support to Block Coordinators to ensure effective field operations.
• Monitor daily activities and progress, ensuring timely reporting and transparency.
• Liaise with local implementation partners (LIPs) and other district-level stakeholders for seamless project execution.
• Lead farmer awareness and lead generation efforts at the district level.
• Coordinate with Block Coordinators to ensure alignment of field activities and troubleshoot operational challenges.
• Ensure timely availability and deployment of machinery and project assets to partner organizations and field teams.
• Organize and lead district-level meetings to strengthen coordination and decision-making among stakeholders.
• Manage feedback systems and oversee grievance redressal processes within the district.

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Agriculture, Rural Development, or related fields.
• 3+ years of experience in managing agriculture, rural development, or sustainability projects at the district/block level.
• Strong understanding of farmer engagement, field operations, and partner coordination.
• Proven skills in training and managing field teams.
• Good communication and reporting skills in Marathi, Hindi, and English.
• Willingness to travel within the assigned district.

Preferred
• Experience working on cotton, maize, or other sustainable agriculture projects.
• Familiarity with implementation partner (NGO/FPO) engagement and machinery logistics.
• Knowledge of grievance redressal mechanisms and participatory decision-making processes.
