The Distribution Logistics Coordinator plays a vital role in maintaining the efficiency of supply chain operations. This position involves accurately selecting, packing, and preparing orders for shipment based on customer specifications.Work in a Sysco warehouse and be a critical member of the foodservice supply chain. Distribution Logistics Coordinator pick orders for delivery to foodservice venues in the local community.

Responsibilities of Distribution Logistics Coordinator:
• Responsibilities in this warehouse position include using an electric pallet jack or forklift to choose products, utilizing Sysco Order Selection (SOS) technology to label items, palletizing products for customer orders, and transporting the products to the dock in a safe and efficient manner
• The requirement for this job involves working from 6:00 p.m. until the end of the shift, ensuring accurate selection and loading of all products
• Overtime hours and working weekends and holidays are required to successfully fill customers' orders
• The job requires working in areas with temperature and humidity variations based on local weather conditions, and on selecting the environment (dry, cooler, freezer)
• Physically choose orders in warehouse facilities where temperatures vary, including dry, chilled, and frozen storage spaces
• Utilize the provided Sysco Order Selection (SOS) unit for the production and correct application of tags
• Stack products on pallets in accordance with established selection procedures, emphasizing principles like avoiding imbalanced loads and ensuring labels are facing outwards
• Make use of an electric pallet jack or forklift for the transfer of items
• Ensure pallets are staged correctly for loading on designated docks
• Ensure to follow SyscoSafe's preferred work methods and alert a supervisor promptly if there are any unsafe conditions
• Abide by the hygiene protocols to align with both the company's regulations and the criteria outlined by the American Institute of Baking (AIB)
• Safely manage and utilize all assigned machinery, including pallet jack, SOS unit, and protective equipment, while ensuring their upkeep
• Conduct examinations prior to and after trips, while safely operating mechanical machinery
• Using shrink-wrap for packaging on the loading dock
• All employees must be present at the scheduled mandatory company meetings
• Further duties might be assigned
• Current practices include sanitizing, disinfecting, and cleaning procedures to uphold cleanliness standards

Qualification of Distribution Logistics Coordinator:
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Frequently lift product that weighs 1-75 pounds, up to 100 pounds
• Regularly reach up to 72 inches
• Constantly bend and twist while operating a pallet jack and/or forklift, retrieving items from lower shelf areas
