Develop and implement disaster response plans and protocols in accordance with American Red Cross guidelines and standards.
Coordinate with local and national agencies, volunteers, and stakeholders to ensure efficient and effective disaster response efforts.
Manage and oversee all aspects of disaster operations, including planning, logistics, volunteer recruitment and training, and resource management.
Collaborate with community leaders and organizations to assess disaster risks and develop preparedness initiatives.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of disaster response efforts and make necessary adjustments as needed.
Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and policies related to disaster response.
Train and coach staff and volunteers on disaster response procedures and protocols.
Maintain accurate records and reports of all disaster response activities.
Develop and maintain relationships with donors, sponsors, and partners to secure necessary resources for disaster relief efforts.
Act as a spokesperson for the American Red Cross during disaster response efforts, representing the organization with professionalism and compassion.
Stay informed about emerging disaster response trends and best practices, and incorporate new strategies into disaster response plans.
Foster a culture of inclusivity and diversity within the disaster response team.
Handle any administrative tasks related to disaster response operations, such as budget management and grant writing.
Serve as a liaison between the American Red Cross and the community, providing support and guidance as needed.
Uphold the values and mission of the American Red Cross, and act as a positive role model for staff and volunteers.
