Job Description
ING is seeking a Director of Sustainable Finance to join their team, focusing on innovative financing solutions for sustainability projects. The role involves managing client relationships, executing deals, and providing expertise in sustainable technologies, particularly in the energy sector. Candidates should have over 10 years of relevant experience and strong communication skills. This position is remote and allows for collaboration with global teams.
About the position
A growing number of companies are moving to adopt sustainability strategies to future-proof their businesses, spawning the emergence of new technologies and value-chain partnerships. This role requires an individual who has areas of unique expertise in sustainable technologies and partnership models (preferably in the energy sector), familiarity with various types of financing instruments and sustainable finance structures, strong communication and commercial skills, ability to originate, structure, and execute sustainability-related advisory and financing mandates, and the ambition to become a leading sustainable finance partner for clients in the Americas region. It is fundamental to be able to manage a portfolio of clients representing various sectors and profiles. You will work closely with local Sustainable Finance colleagues, the regional front office sector coverage and product specialist teams, and with the wider ING's network around the world. You will also be expected to represent the region in internal global projects and to demonstrate thought leadership on behalf of ING at external events.
