ING is seeking a Director of Portfolio Management for Energy – Renewables & Power in Frankfurt am Main. The role involves managing a portfolio in the German Renewables & Power Project Finance sector, requiring expertise in financial markets and structured credit products. Key responsibilities include risk analysis, loan management, preparing reports, and coaching junior colleagues. A master's degree and experience in renewables financing are required. The position offers hybrid working options.

Your Tasks
• In the active portfolio management of our German Renewables & Power Project Finance portfolio you are a reliable driving force. You know the industry inside out, possess in-depth expertise in financial markets and structured credit products, and have a knack for communication.
• You also bring crucial expertise in loan transaction management, risk analysis, and in-life management, while identifying market trends at an early stage and proactively managing their impact on the portfolio.
• Open dialogue and effective exchange – both externally and internally – are your keys to success: You are in constant contact with customers as well as account managers and internal departments such as operations and credit department. In this, you ensure that the risk profile and profitability are maintained during the facility tenor.
• In your daily business, you prepare portfolio reports, conduct financial analyses & modelling, initiate capital velocity measures for risk-adequate and income-optimized portfolio management, and implement our sustainability goals as a matter of course.
• In the event of an impending loan default, you take action, bring the internal restructuring department on board, and, if necessary, involve external advisors.
• As you always see the bigger picture in every detail, your professional input is highly valued across the bank in areas such as syndication, balance sheet management, risk management, legal, and capital markets & advisory.
• And you can also be relied on when it comes to interpersonal relationships: Setting an example that everyone benefits from knowledge sharing, you coach junior colleagues and thus contribute to the positive development of the entire team.
Your Profile
• Master’s degree in economics / business administration / finance or similar
• Several years of professional experience in Renewables financing in the German market
• Solid knowledge of financial markets, structured credit products as wells as negotiating, structuring, and implementing lending transactions
• Strong motivation and experience in managing a project / structured finance portfolio
• Excellent analytical thinking skills and an eye for credit risks
• Very good IT-Skills, particularly with MS Office
• Team player with a strong entrepreneurial mindset who enjoys working in a dynamic working environment
• A passion for driving forward a sustainable economy
• Fluent English and German both written and spoken
