Job Description
Bentley Mills is seeking a Director of Sustainability to communicate their sustainability vision and initiatives. This role involves working with sales and marketing teams, engaging with trade associations, and managing sustainability-related communications. The candidate should be LEED-AP certified, have project management experience, and strong communication skills. The position requires travel and will report to the VP of Product and Marketing. Salary range is $110k-140k.
The Director of Sustainability will be responsible for communicating Bentley's Sustainability vision and initiatives to our sales team, customers and associates. Acting as advocate and liaison to trade associates and interest groups such as; USGBC, Carbon Leadership Forum, and International Living Futures, this effort will include presentations and meetings with; mill tours, virtual calls, and where required, business trips to meet with our sales team and their customers, along with designated trade shows.
The Director of Sustainability will work with sales and marketing leaders to define and execute strategic sustainability driven marketing programs, branding campaigns and events that generate awareness around sustainability both within Bentley and externally. The role will be responsible for developing audience-specific communications, positioning and collateral in close collaboration with internal stakeholders. The role will also partner with technical teams and senior management to achieve our sustainability business goals.
The Director of Sustainability will also serve as our ESG expert and champion for our sales team, customers and our internal team, along with responses in all areas relating to our environmental initiatives on RFP's, RFI's and RFQ's. In addition, the role will work with all operational business functions to insure all pertinent sustainability data is updated and maintained. This would include Bentley's recycled content data, the online LEED Calculator, and sustainability website. Additional duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
• LEED-AP Certified
• Degree with emphasis in Environmental, or Sustainability Science.
• Previous project management experience required.
• Three years of recent experience with responsibility for developing and communicating sustainability issues.
• Superior written skills, with great attention to detail.
• Excellent communicator to articulate program details in a presentation setting (small groups, senior management, etc).
• Must be highly organized and self-starting.
• Strong with word processing (Microsoft Office) programs.
• Must be willing to work variable hours when needed.
• Must be willing to travel.
This position reports to the VP of Product and Marketing for Bentley Mills, Inc.
The Director of Sustainability will be responsible for managing their expenses, complying with safety rules, environmental regulations and all other Company Policies and Procedures.
Starting pay range: $110k-140k

Bentley Mills conducts regular reviews of compensation ranges and therefore reserves the right to alter this range at any given time.
