About the Role:

The Director of IT will be a key member of the leadership team, responsible for overseeing all aspects of the bank's technology infrastructure, ensuring robust and secure systems, and driving strategic technology initiatives. This role requires a leader with a strong understanding of API development, artificial intelligence (AI), and a passion for leveraging technology to enhance customer experience and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
• Strategic Vision: Develop and implement a cutting-edge IT strategy aligned with business objectives, regulatory requirements, and emerging technologies. Champion digital transformation initiatives and identify opportunities for innovation.
• Infrastructure Excellence: Manage and optimize the bank's IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, cloud services, cybersecurity protocols, and data storage. Ensure systems are scalable, secure, and cost-effective.
• API Innovation: Lead the design and development of APIs to facilitate seamless integration with partners and internal systems. Implement API management platforms and establish best practices for secure and efficient API solutions.
• AI & Automation: Drive the adoption of AI technologies, including machine learning and data analytics, to improve customer experience, optimize processes, and enhance risk management.
• Cybersecurity & Compliance: Ensure the security of the bank's data and systems, maintaining compliance with industry regulations and managing cybersecurity risks. Contribute to disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
• Project Leadership: Manage complex IT projects, ensuring on-time and within-budget delivery.
• Team Empowerment: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing IT team, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
• Vendor Management: Manage relationships with external vendors, negotiating contracts and ensuring service level agreements are met.
• Budget Stewardship: Develop and manage the IT budget, optimizing resource allocation.
• Data-Driven Insights: Enhance data collection, analysis, and reporting capabilities to support business intelligence and informed decision-making.
• Technology Foresight: Stay abreast of emerging technologies and evaluate their potential to drive innovation and competitive advantage.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field. A Master's degree or relevant certifications are a plus.
• 5+ years of progressive IT management experience, including 3+ years in a director or senior leadership role.
• Strong technical background in IT infrastructure, cloud computing, databases, and software development.
• Expertise in API development, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), and containerization technologies.
• Experience with AI tools and platforms.
• Proven leadership, project management, and communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
