About the Role

We are looking for a passionate and visionary Director of Climate Action to lead our dedicated, interdisciplinary team. As the leader of our organization, you will be responsible for setting a strategic direction, providing organizational leadership, and driving fundraising efforts, all while embodying the principles of open science, integrity, and humility. Key responsibilities include:

Articulating and advancing a clear vision for our evolving mission in climate action.Leading a high-performing team and fostering a collaborative and intellectually rigorous culture.Partnering closely with the Board and maintaining strong relationships with funders.Ensuring that our organization's impact aligns with the dynamic landscape of climate challenges. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in strategic leadership, experience guiding research or technical teams, and an unwavering commitment to open science and transparency. We seek an individual with exceptional interpersonal skills and high emotional intelligence, capable of inspiring and engaging a diverse range of stakeholders. A proactive communication style and a proven track record in successful fundraising, particularly with individual donors and foundations, are essential. You will play a critical role in steering our organization through a transformative period, balancing the excellence of current initiatives with the exploration of innovative ideas, partnerships, and programs.
