Job Description

Cargill is seeking a Director, Energy Portfolio in Houston, MN, responsible for growing derivatives sales through client relationship management within the energy sector. Key duties include initiating new customer relationships, communicating risk management strategies, and developing marketing strategies. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the origination and management of client relationships with producers, financial institutions and financials sponsors across the energy supply chain.Key AccountabilitiesIdentify, proactively call, initiate, onboard and develop new derivatives customer relationships within the energy space.Communicate risk management's value proposition across multiple levels within the customer's organization.Participate in planning, developing and delivering the marketing strategy for products, services and Cargill’s full product offering.Manage external relationships with customers, financial institutions and financials sponsors across the energy supply chain.Develop plans and deliver results in a fast-changing business or regulatory environmentOther duties as assigned.#LI-BG1#FGBQualificationsMinimum QualificationsBachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experienceMinimum requirement of 6 years of relevant work experience. Typically reflects 10 years or more of relevant experience.Product and fundamental understanding of energy commodity marketsAbility to independently provide strategic business plans for go-to-market strategy within assigned portfolios and develop junior staffPreferred QualificationsBackground in either commodity trading or energy financeDeep understanding of derivative sales associated with commercial finance; including lending arrangements, securitizations, and intercreditor agreements.Minimum 10 years of related work experienceExperience working in a regulated environmentEqual Opportunity Employer, including Disability/Vet.
