Director - CUSO Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG)/Climate

• Job Summary*

Support the development of independent risk oversight within Group Risk Management (GRM) - U.S. Enterprise Risk, focusing on ESG and Climate frameworks for the US Operations, RBC's Intermediate Holding Company (RIHC), and branches in the U.S.
• *Responsibilities:
• Oversight of ESG/Climate program design, development, and implementation for CUSO and lines of business, including policy and training material development.
• Assessment of ESG/Climate risks via risk taxonomy, strategic plans, and stakeholder forums, ensuring comprehensive risk identification.
• Enhancement of risk frameworks to incorporate ESG/Climate oversight.
• Coordination with stakeholders to align ESG/Climate risk management across the organization, ensuring segregation of duties and oversight.
• Partnership with various teams to integrate ESG/Climate considerations into decision-making processes and ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
• Monitoring and reporting on ESG/Climate risk metrics, escalation of issues, and oversight of climate risk stress testing and scenario analysis.
• Preparation of reports for senior management, boards, regulators, and external stakeholders.
• Management of responses to regulatory examinations and internal audits, and support for external disclosures.
• Tracking of legal and political developments related to ESG/Climate risk.
• Leadership of the ESG/Climate Risk management team responsible for oversight, monitoring, and reporting.
• Maintenance of awareness of emerging trends and practices in climate risk.
• *Qualifications:**
• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Law, or related fields.
• 8+ years in Risk Management, Controls, or Audit within Financial Services.
• 5+ years in a leadership role managing teams of 3+ professionals.
• Knowledge of risk disciplines and ESG/Climate frameworks and regulations.
• Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office and ability to influence stakeholders.
