firstPRO is seeking a Desktop Technician who will be required to be onsite 4-5 days per week in Dover, Delaware. This is a 6-month contract-to-hire position with compensation up to $25/hr., based on experience.
Responsibilities:
• Image all PCs using SCCM or Autopilot.
• Collaborate with users to replace or set up equipment.
• Update inventory sheets to track computer assignments.
• Manage and maintain inventory in the storage room, proactively ordering items when stock is low.
• Organize and maintain shipping materials, including refilling supplies from Fed Ex.
• Create and distribute labels for shipping or returning equipment.
• Work with Dell to coordinate warranty repairs.
• Manage the return process for equipment separated from employees.
• Prepare old equipment for secure decommissioning with Iron Mountain.Qualifications:
• Proficiency in Windows imaging and troubleshooting.
• Experience with Office troubleshooting and software installation.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Customer service and teamwork-oriented mindset.
• Previous experience working with SCCM or Autopilot for PC imaging.
• Familiarity with inventory tracking systems and decommissioning processes.
• Experience working with hardware vendors (e.g., Dell) for warranty and repair services.Seniority level
