The American Institute of Architects is seeking a Design Principal for their Durham, NC office. A renowned design firms seeking aDesign Principalwho will continually elevate the quality of our work in theDC (Tyson’s Corner) officethrough positive leadership, a collaborative work style, and deep design expertise. This high-impact position works with a transdisciplinary team to lead design of a wide range of project types with a focus on Community, Higher Education and Recreation/Sports. As a Design Principal you will be responsible for intently listening to client goals, identifying challenges, crafting ideas, actively collaborating and executing solutions that elevate client performance.
A candidate we’ll love:
Design leadership . A talented designer and creative problem solver with deep experience designing projects across various market segments.
Thought Leader . A Registered Architect with boundary pushing ideas, active involvement in industryrelated organizations and/or recognition of award-winning designs
Sustainable & Future-Thinker . Someone knowledgeable of and passionate about sustainable, agile and regenerative design
Team Leader. A leader who is a champion for others and builds followership through empathetic listening, genuine care, and collaboration
