Colorado State University is hiring 25 Desert Tortoise Monitors or Authorized Biologists for field work in the Mojave Desert Tortoise Monitoring Program at Nellis Air Force Base and the Nevada Test and Training Range. The job involves surveying demographic plots over 12 days across 4 long weekends. No degree is required, and the pay ranges from $20 to $50 per hour.
Position Title: Desert Tortoise Natural Resources Specialist Position:We are seeking 25 Desert Tortoise Monitors or Desert Tortoise Authorized Biologists to assist with the Mojave Desert Tortoise Monitoring Program on Nellis Air Force Base (NAFB) and the Nevada Test and Training Range (NTTR), Nevada. These positions are field work based to survey demographic plots. Field work will be limited to 4 long weekends/ 12 days of work for the year.
