About the Job
In this role, you'll be responsible for creating data-driven visualizations and interactive stories that bring climate-related information to life. You'll work closely with our team of journalists, developers, and designers to develop compelling narratives and storylines that engage our audience. Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain a deep understanding of climate change, its causes, and its effects
• Design and implement data visualizations and interactive stories that effectively communicate complex climate-related information
• Collaborate with writers, producers, and other team members to develop compelling narratives and storylines
• Conduct research and interviews to gather insights and information for stories and projects
• Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in climate science, policy, and activism
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, computer science, or a related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in data journalism, scientific visualization, or a related field
• Excellent communication, writing, and editing skills
• Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite and data analysis software like R or Python
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and quality
