Job Description
Climate X is seeking a Customer Success Manager for its Salt Lake City office to manage post-sales relationships with leading financial institutions. The role involves onboarding, training, and ensuring product adoption of the Spectra platform, while advocating for customer needs and feeding insights back to internal teams. Candidates should have experience in banking, particularly in climate risk or sustainable finance. Climate X focuses on addressing climate risks through innovative solutions.

• Our team builds cutting-edge, peer-reviewed science (incorporating climate projections, remote sensing data) and translates that into financial impacts (to the value of assets or business disruption linked to failure of critical infrastructure) that our customers in the financial services industry use to identify, manage and mitigate those risks.

The impact you’ll own
As a Customer Success Manager at Climate X, you’ll own the post-sales relationship with some of the world’s leading financial institutions, acting as the trusted advisor and primary point of contact throughout their lifecycle with us. From onboarding and training through to ongoing product adoption and renewals, you’ll work closely with senior banking stakeholders to help them unlock maximum value from our Spectra platform, aligning our climate physical risk solutions directly to their risk management and regulatory objectives.
You’ll play a strategic role, bridging the gap between our clients and internal teams (including Product, Science, Sales and Support) to advocate for customer needs, collect and feed back valuable insights to shape future product development, and ensure our solutions continuously evolve to meet the fast-changing demands of the financial services industry. With a strong focus on relationship building, value realisation, and identifying growth opportunities, you’ll help banking clients not only navigate climate risk, but also leverage it as a strategic advantage.
We’re seeking someone with direct experience working within a banking organisation, ideally in areas such as climate physical risk, risk management (including credit risk), stress testing, or sustainable finance to join Climate X as Customer Success Manager.
Using your strong understanding of banking terminology, organisational structures, and ways of working, you will build trust and credibility with our existing enterprise financial services clients, to help them maximise the benefits of our SaaS climate physical risk products.
An in-depth understanding of our products and how they apply in a financial services context is essential. You should be comfortable handling detailed queries and concerns from senior stakeholders such as CROs, Heads of Risk, and other risk leaders, and be able to defend the robustness of our models in that environment.
Finally, we’re looking for someone with proven client-facing experience and excellent stakeholder management skills — someone who can build strong, trusted relationships, navigate complex conversations, and act as a strategic advisor to our banking clients.
Essential Skills
• Direct experience working within a banking organisation, ideally in one of the following areas: climate physical risk, risk management, stress testing, sustainable finance.
• Ability to communicate complex concepts - including technical SaaS solutions, scientific methodologies, and financial services terminology - clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, adapting style and level of detail for different audiences.
• Strong understanding of risk in financial services, the use cases for climate physical risk products, and the terminology, structures, and working practices within banking.
• Gravitas and confidence when engaging senior stakeholders, including CROs, Heads of Risk, and other FS leaders.
• Proven experience in a client-facing role with strong stakeholder management skills, particularly in enterprise or regulated environments.
Desirable Skills
• Familiarity with risk modelling techniques, climate stress testing methodologies, or climate data providers.
• Experience working with climate-related regulatory frameworks (e.g., TCFD, PRA/ECB climate stress tests).
• Previous experience working in a scale-up or fast-growing environment, comfortable with ambiguity and change.
