About the role
As a Customer Operations Analyst at Origin Energy, you will be instrumental in driving operational excellence within our Origin Zero Back Office Operations team. Your role will involve analysing designated process areas, identifying improvement opportunities, and collaborating with both internal teams and external partners to ensure seamless experiences for our customers. From executing operational tasks to conducting root cause analysis, your technical skills will play a pivotal role in providing a seamless experience for our Origin Zero customers.
Key Responsibilities:
• Ensuring timely execution of operational tasks and coordination of events.
• Analysing data to identify the root causes of errors and exceptions and provide recommended solutions and process improvements.
• Develop and implement processes to address errors/exceptions and reduce their occurrence whilst meeting compliance requirements.
• Offering insights during the development of new initiatives and contributing to project-related tasks, such as testing.
• Providing expertise and support our BPO Teams, serving as an escalation point for complex issues.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including Metering Providers and Networks, to investigate and resolve complex enquiries efficiently.
What will you bring?
• 3+ year of demonstrated experience in the energy or utilities sector.
• Experience in a similar Operations Analyst, Reporting Analyst or Metering Analyst role within the Energy Industry.
• Proficient experience with SQL, Microsoft Excel, Tableau (or similar) for data analysis, reconciliations and reporting.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify root causes and recommend effective solutions.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
• Experience with C&I Electricity/Gas metering is highly valued, but not essential.
