About Us

Landmark Resource Management Ltd. (Landmark) is a professional services and research firm that works with Indigenous communities, industry, and government to address environmental, social, and governance (ESG) subject matters. Much of our work supports the implementation of the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (UNDRIP) with a focus on Aboriginal rights and title, land use and occupancy studies, socio-economic studies, land use planning, stakeholder engagement, and industry and community relations.

We are seeking a field Cultural and Environmental Monitor based out of Chilliwack or Hope to join our fast-growing team in British Columbia. Landmark promotes a strong team environment and looks for leaders to help our organization grow and develop.

This position will require travel as directed by Landmarks clients.

Required Qualifications
• High School Diploma
• Willingness to take training.
• Ability to travel.
• Willingness to do shift work.
• Formal environmental or cultural monitor training.

Additional Considerations
• Completion of a bachelors degree or diploma in Biology, Ecology, Environmental Studies, Natural Resource Management, Archeology, or a related field.
• Experience working with fish, bird, wildlife, and vegetation assessments/surveys.
• Knowledge of B.C. environmental regulations and how they interface with construction projects/development.
• Experience working on-site or in the field with Indigenous and remote communities.
• Cross-cultural experience with Indigenous communities.

• Ability to solve practical problems in a culturally-appropriate manner and deal with a variety of variables in situations.
• Informed about Indigenous issues in Canada (historical and contemporary).
• Valid drivers license from a Canadian province or Territory acceptable for driving alone and with passengers in a work setting.

Location: BC Lower Mainland. The majority of the work is field based in the lower mainland with office time for reporting, administration, and project meetings.

Compensation: $28-40 per hour depending on experience. Daily living out allowance is also provided while in the field.
