Job Description
JLL is seeking a Corporate Procurement ESG Lead in London to integrate ESG strategies into procurement processes. The role involves standardizing ESG approaches, supporting emission reduction initiatives, ensuring compliance with global ESG legislation, and upskilling colleagues and suppliers. Candidates should have experience in ESG procurement, supplier engagement, and carbon emissions. The position emphasizes collaboration with Category Directors and requires technical knowledge in sustainable procurement.

What this job involves
Supporting the considerations and implementation of ESG strategies into overall procurement strategies within Corporate Procurement.
Standardizing ESG approach across a global team and operating model including:
Transform Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) platforms into a broad program (e.g. around measurement, targets, training, supplier engagement, etc.) that is consistent across Sourcing and Procurement
Playing an integral role in JLL’s approach in the supply chain around measuring and supporting the reduction of emissions through partnering with Corporate Category Directors within business travel, fleet and Purchased Goods and Services in line with JLL’s Net Zero 2040 goal
Advise on continued data collection and verification processes for supplier diversity data
Ensure JLL Corporate Procurement remains compliant with ESG legislation globally such as the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive, and has an action plan to close any gaps
Upskilling Sourcing & Procurement (S&P) colleagues and suppliers in support of the Sourcing and Procurement’s Global ESG S&P Strategy:
Continue progressing against the 4 focus areas in the strategy: Net Zero, Supplier Diversity, ESG Risk & Modern Slavery and ESG Standards.
Develop and execute training plan with measurable targets to build internal awareness and skills in the S&P organization and with suppliers
Partner with Category Directors to attend any stakeholder meetings as required by Category Directors based on the nature of the project
Influence a shift in ESG impact and performance across JLL Corporate Procurement globally
Provide specific technical knowledge around carbon accounting, lifecycle analysis, carbon reduction strategies and implementation in a supply chain context
Align with Category Directors and suppliers on JLL ESG requirements for suppliers and supplier performance against key metrics as required
Provide advice for key procurement ESG considerations in Procurement programs
Attend and provide ESG considerations in SRM programs as applicable
Provide technical knowledge around carbon accounting, lifecycle analysis, carbon reduction strategies and implementation in a supply chain context
Stay abreast of external best practice related to sustainable procurement
Desired Skills And Experience For This Job
A proven track record of ESG Procurement within Indirect Procurement categories
Experience of working with suppliers in a global context
Carbon / greenhouse gas emissions experience (essential) and passion for broader ESG topics such as supplier diversity, waste, Modern Slavery, human rights, etc.
Experience around influence and advocacy with internal and external stakeholders
Proven ability to deliver against global goals in decentralised environments
Proven experience of owning quantification of emissions and being able to own measuring and tracking down of emissions accordingly
