About the position
The Corporate Environmental Manager will play a pivotal role in overseeing and enhancing the environmental management systems across the company's manufacturing sites both in the United States and internationally. This position is critical in ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and promoting sustainable practices within the organization. The manager will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive environmental policies that align with the company's sustainability goals and regulatory requirements. This role requires a proactive approach to managing environmental risks and opportunities, ensuring that all operations adhere to local, state, and federal environmental laws. In addition to policy development, the Corporate Environmental Manager will lead various sustainability projects and initiatives aimed at reducing the environmental footprint of the company's operations. This includes collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement and implementing best practices in environmental management. The manager will also serve as the primary point of contact for legal and litigation matters related to environmental issues, representing the company in discussions with regulatory agencies and stakeholders. A key aspect of this role is the management and mentorship of environmental personnel across the company's facilities. The manager will provide guidance and support to ensure that all environmental programs are effectively executed and that staff are well-trained in compliance and sustainability practices. Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.

• 7+ years of environmental management experience in chemicals, paper, steel, or similar industries.

• Experience with Title V, CAA, CWA, RCRA, and DOT regulations.

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.

• Excellent communication skills.

• Ability to travel 50%.
