Job Description

AXA UK is hiring a Corporate Distribution Director in Glasgow. This role involves leading the strategy for AXA Health’s Corporate business, focusing on client acquisition and retention in the UK PMI market. The candidate will manage a large team, oversee P&L, and ensure compliance with regulations. The position is field-based, requiring travel to offices and client sites, with some flexibility in working arrangements.
At AXA Health, our customer journey begins in Distribution. We’re responsible for nearly one million members at new business and renewal. Our teams expertly guide businesses large and small, from two employees to 10,000 through our products and processes so they can protect themselves and their families. You’ll establish, develop and implement the strategy for AXA Health’s Corporate business to deliver profitable, sustainable growth through effective client acquisition and retention. You’ll create compelling propositions, articulating a cohesive vision that delivers sales, retention and client delivery in line with agreed targets.

At AXA we work smart, this role is field-based and you’ll travel to visit AXA offices and client sites as required.

What you’ll be doing:
• Lead development of AXA Health’s Corporate business strategy. Set strategic vision to deliver agreed financial and business goals for the next 3 – 5 years.
• Provide strategic input to ensure AXA Health products, services and propositions support an integrated, contemporary and leading-edge propositions for our clients.
• Have overall accountability for P&L (profit and loss) and delivery of strategic and financial growth plans.
• Inspire and lead team of trusted colleagues (circa 150, based across the UK) to deliver business strategy, though effective development, performance management and focussed incentivisation.
• Establish and maintain effective governance to meet regulatory requirements and compliance requirements.
• Ensure outsourced and third-party relationships are well managed and meet required standards to represent AXA Health.
• Responsibility for Trust scheme management.
• Own PRP (Performance Related Pay Scheme) which meet AXA policies.

What you’ll bring:
• Demonstrable experience in a similar UK Corporate PMI leadership role – essential.
• Excellent commercial awareness and technical understanding of UK PMI market – essential.
• Evidence of managing and leading a high performing, large multidisciplined team and P&L – essential.
• Ability to act and think at a strategic level, create a compelling business vision and design and implement strategic growth and change – essential.
• Exceptional influencing and negotiation skills.
• Project and budget management expertise.
• Strategic and business planning methodology.

As a precondition of employment for this role, you must be eligible and authorised to work in the United Kingdom.

This position has been defined as an Insurance Distribution Directive (IDD) role under the IDD regime which means that in addition to pre-employment screening checks, the successful candidate will be subject to background screening every 4 years with an annual declaration in interim years.

Please be aware that this position is a Certified Function role under the SM&CR regime, which means the successful candidate will be subject to an enhanced level of background screening requirements.
