Job Description

ALLY Energy is seeking a Lean Coordinator in Newton, IA, responsible for implementing Lean practices in manufacturing. The role involves supporting shop floor operations, resolving production issues, and improving processes. Candidates should have mechanical skills, experience with Lean methodologies, and good communication abilities. The position is on-site at a wind blade manufacturing facility, offering competitive compensation and benefits.

About The Role

Under direction of the Operations manager, the Lean Coordinator is responsible for the support of tactical implementation of Lean practices and initiatives.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
• Works closely with the Operations Team to support daily shop floor operations, troubleshoot, and resolve production and quality issues, and implement process improvements.
• Performs data collection and documents operator standard work.
• Implements layout and process flow improvements using Lean Manufacturing methodologies.
• Assists with workstation and line layouts, balancing of work content, determination of labor requirements, material handling and storage solutions, process documentation, and operator training.
• Works with Engineering to define work methods and work sequences in the development of new products and processes and participate in design reviews and the implementation of engineering changes.

Who We’re Looking For
• Mechanical inclination, with good computer skills, including experience with Excel and CAD.
• Good communication, problem solving, and interpersonal skills required.
• Ability to read blueprints and understand basic math.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles including value stream mapping and kaizen is preferred.

This position is on site at our wind blade manufacturing site in Newton, Iowa.
