Job Description

Provides contract management services, including negotiating physician professional service contracts and educational agreements. Responsible for overseeing, planning, and monitoring contract progress.
Duties:
• Leads contract negotiations with hospital partners, educational affiliates, and corporate entities.
• Submits reports and memoranda of explanation to executive leadership regarding contract issues.
• Reviews and applies applicable University policy, as well as applicable law and educational accreditation requirements, to contracts.
• Coordinates with the Office of Research Administration, Office of Legal Counsel, Purchasing, Export Control, and other University offices in the review and management of contracts.
• Provides direct administrative and fiscal management of grantor contracts. Manages day-to-day business operations of the grant or contract program.
• Responsible for fiscal oversight and management, including negotiating physician professional service and educational contracts for operations activities and the College.
• Monitors contract progress. Develops and manages budgets related to grants or contracts. Ensures fiscal viability and advises department leadership on long-range planning and development of new initiatives.
• Performs various duties as needed to successfully fulfill the functions of the position.
Job Requirements:

Required Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Management, or a closely related field.

And: 60 months experience in business management, administration, accounting, finance, operations management, or a closely related area. 24 months of the required experience must be directly related to coordinating and managing sponsored grants or contracts.

Equivalency/Substitution: Will accept 48 months experience in lieu of a Bachelor's Degree for a total of 108 months experience.

Skills:
• Advanced knowledge of databases and electronic tools related to funding opportunity dissemination (e.g., Community of Science).
• Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
• Knowledge of pre-award grant submission processes and federal application requirements. Advanced organizational skills.
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
• Ability to perform multiple tasks and handle stressful situations.

• Physical: Sit for prolonged periods. Use of a computer. Manual dexterity. Communicate effectively and listen.
• Environmental: Office work environment. Stressful environment when meeting deadlines.
