Job Description
Green Infrastructure Partners is seeking a Construction Project Assistant in Ontario, Canada. The role involves supporting project management with administrative tasks, monitoring work performance, preparing documentation, and ensuring safety standards. Candidates should have at least 2 years of construction experience, preferably in MTO road projects. Strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities are essential. This position is not remote and requires on-site presence.
Location: Black River-Matheson
Reporting to the Project Manager, Project Coordinator will be responsible for providing overall administrative and technical expertise required support to a large-scale construction project.
Primary Scope of Role Support the Senior Project Manager and Project Manager in planning and implementing schedules, material quantities, inspections, equipment, and requirements are maintained
Monitor work performance to ensure project rules, procedures, and safety requirements are being followed
Prepare project documentation such as contracts, permits, and technical documents.
Advise of potential problems, work interferences, and schedule difficulties and assist in resolving these problems
Assist in maintaining and analyze up-to-date cost reports and submit necessary changes to ensure the project is delivered within budget
Meet with Owners and Consultants, and have the ability to communicate effectively both the concerns and best interests of the company
Monitors project performance, schedule, costs, equipment, manpower, materials, equipment maintenance, safety and quality control
Interfaces with project team, subcontractors and related third parties
Monitors and inspects project site to maintain a safe work environment and provides leadership to ensure policies, procedures and standards are followed
Perform any other job-related duties as assigned by the supervisor or management to support the overall objectives of the company.
Position Requirements 2 years of construction experience Experience on MTO road construction projects is preferred Exposure to all aspects of road and bridge building
