Job Description

The Republic of Green is hiring a Heavy Equipment Operator in Kuna, ID. Responsibilities include operating and maintaining various construction machinery. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, and experience with construction equipment. The position offers a $1,000 signing bonus after 30 days, additional bonuses after 3 and 6 months, and benefits including medical insurance and paid time off.
Signing Bonus:
New hire craft employee will be eligible for a $1,000 signing bonus after 30 days of employment (minimum of 173 hours worked). New hire craft employee will receive an additional $1,000 signing bonus after 3 months of employment (minimum of 500 hours worked). New hire craft employee will receive an additional $1,000 signing bonus after 6 months of employment (minimum of 1,000 hours worked).

All signing bonuses are taxed.

• Verification of Work Authorization and Employment Eligibility
• Substance Abuse Screening
• Physical Exam (if applicable)
• Background Checks for Badging/Security Clearances (if applicable)
Position Description

Equipment operators are responsible for the operation and maintenance of all types of construction machinery including, but not limited to, rubber tire loaders, track backhoes, rubber tire backhoes, trucks, compaction equipment, all terrain forklift, and winter weather thawing equipment.
Position Qualifications
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Follow safe work practices in accordance with the Hensel Phelps safety and health program.
• Experience with a wide variety of construction machinery.
• Knowledge of maintenance of various construction equipment.
• Must be able to take initiative and ask questions.
• Possess a keen attention to detail and be able to follow instructions.
• Workers must provide their own safety footwear.
• Must be able to communicate effectively and professionally with co-workers and stakeholders.
• Strong mathematical reasoning and quantitative skills.
• Must be reliable and punctual. This includes having reliable transportation and consistent work attendance.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experienced in construction layout, blueprint reading and shop drawing reading.
• OSHA 10 Certification.
• CPR & First Aid Certification.
• Perform maintenance work on equipment such as lubricating, fueling, and cleaning.
• Promotes a safe work environment and communicates jobsite hazards.
• Perform backfill procedures and other earthwork.
• Inspects and documents their heavy equipment.
