Job Description

The County of Los Angeles is hiring a Conservation Forestry Manager to lead forestry programs and support conservation efforts. Responsibilities include developing forestry projects, representing the department at community events, and supervising staff. Candidates must have one year of experience as a Forestry Assistant with the County and possess a valid California Class B Commercial Driver License. This is a full-time position based in Los Angeles.
Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Conservation Forestry Manager to lead our forestry programs and support the county's conservation efforts.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and implement forestry projects, evaluating resource needs and prioritizing goals and objectives.
• Serve as a departmental representative at community events, conducting field demonstrations and educating stakeholders.
• Supervise subordinate staff, advising, motivating, and training employees.
Qualifications
• One year of experience as a Forestry Assistant with the County of Los Angeles.
• A valid California Class B Commercial Driver License with water tank and air brake endorsements.
