Description

Field Leaders play an integral role in managing and supervising conservation crews of nine youth, ages 16-18, during the summer. The position is designed to enhance leadership skills while overseeing two separate groups over the service term. Field Leaders assist in hands-on conservation-oriented projects while facilitating daily lessons based on an accredited outdoor education curriculum. This role is ideal for individuals who embody compassion, patience, and an inspirational attitude, allowing them to contribute their leadership skills and gain valuable experience in natural resource management, youth development, and outdoor education.

Responsibilities

• Track corps member participation and progress throughout the program
• Transport the crew and equipment to and from work sites

Qualifications
• At least 21 years old
• Current Driver’s License with a clean driving record for the past three years
• Ability to work collaboratively and motivate youth
• Willingness to frequently drive an NYC vehicle
• Experience working with diverse populations

Education Requirements
• No specific educational credential required, but relevant experience is preferred

Education Requirements Credential Category
• Relevant experience in outdoor education, natural resource management, or youth development is advantageous

Experience Requirements
