About the Team
The Customer Compliance Performance team is undergoing significant transformation, creating exciting new opportunities to join at a pivotal time, where you will have the chance to make a meaningful impact. This team provides specialist compliance expertise to the Customer Business Unit, supporting effective compliance management and ensuring EnergyAustralia’s regulatory obligations, governance systems, processes, and frameworks meet both industry standards and customer expectations. About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity to join our Customer Compliance Performance Team, as our Compliance Business Partnership Leader. In this role, you will drive the development and implementation of compliance strategies and frameworks, ensuring the Customer Business Unit meets regulatory requirements. It builds strong partnerships with Business Unit leaders, provides insights on compliance performance, and leads initiatives to improve compliance maturity. Other aspects of the role include:
• Develop the Compliance Business Partnership strategy and implementation plan
• Oversee the implementation of compliance strategies, frameworks, and tools that ensure adherence to regulatory requirements
• Build and maintain strong relationships with Customer Business Unit leaders to ensure alignment between business goals and compliance expectations
• Leverage reporting and analytics to identify compliance issues and trends and provide advice to Customer Business Unit leaders on compliance performance and maturity
• Ensure key compliance risks in the Business Unit are being effectively managed and controls are embedded into systems and processes
• Effectively lead the Business Partnership team in accordance with the Energy Australia Ways of Working
About You
To be successful in this role, you will be a dedicated leader with considerable experience in an operational risk compliance or assurance role, with a strong understanding of our regulatory requirements, operational risk, risk management frameworks, assurance programs and industry standards. Other things we’re keen on include:
• Demonstrated ability to lead a high performing team
• Strong understanding of the Energy sector and regulatory environment is highly desirable
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• Strong analytical & problem-solving skills, with the ability to formulate, synthesise and analyse data and provide meaningful advice and insights
• Adaptable and proactive, ready to tackle challenges with a continuous improvement mindset
