Competent Wind Turbine Technicians

Samuel Knight International is hiring experienced Siemens Gamesa Commissioning Technicians for onshore wind turbine projects in the UK, specifically in Whitelee and Wales. The role involves electrical and mechanical servicing of SGRE wind turbines, with a focus on safety standards and documentation. Candidates need hands-on experience with G2 and/or G5x/G8x platforms and must hold a valid GWO certification. The position is full-time with potential extensions.
Job Title: SGRE Commissioning Technician (CT) – Onshore UK

Locations: Whitelee (Scotland) & Multiple Sites Across Wales (including Ovenden Moor)

Start Dates: March & April

Duration: 6 Months+ (extensions likely)

Rotation: Monday–Friday (with occasional on-call weekends for Wales sites)

Participation in on-call support where required

Requirements




Proven experience as an SGRE Commissioning Technician




Hands-on experience on G2 and/or G5x / G8x platforms




Strong servicing capability




Valid GWO (all modules)



Full UK driving licence

Right to work in the UK
