Job Description

One Energy Solutions LLC is seeking a Community Solar Agent in Bangor, ME, to promote Community Solar Programs. Responsibilities include territory management, customer acquisition, compliance, and team collaboration. Candidates should have sales experience, knowledge of Maine's geography, and strong communication skills. The role requires fieldwork and travel within the territory. Compensation is commission-based with potential earnings of $85,000 to $150,000 annually, along with health insurance benefits.
As a Community Solar Representative, you will be instrumental in promoting and facilitating the adoption of Community Solar Programs across Maine. This role involves engaging both B2C and B2B segments, requiring effective territory management, customer acquisition, and adherence to compliance standards. You will represent our mission, aiding Maine in achieving its renewable energy targets by connecting the community and businesses to local solar farms.

Responsibilities:
• Territory Management: Strategically manage and navigate your assigned territory to maximize engagement and sales opportunities.
• Customer Acquisition: Identify and engage potential residential and business customers, articulating the benefits of our Community Solar Programs.
• Compliance and Reporting: Ensure compliance with all regulations, maintaining accurate records of customer interactions and sales achievements.
• Team Collaboration: Collaborate with the team to enhance overall performance and achieve sales targets through shared strategies and insights.
• Sales Goals: Meet and exceed weekly sales goals, leveraging your ambition and drive to contribute to our growth and success.
• Field Work: Travel within your assigned territory is required, engaging directly with the community and stakeholders.

Requirements:
• Experience in sales, with a preference for backgrounds in renewable energy, B2C, or B2B sales.
• Knowledge of Maine's geography, community dynamics, and renewable energy objectives.
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and meet sales targets.
• Proficient in spreadsheet use for tracking and reporting purposes.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for field activities.
