About the Role:

The Community Outreach Specialist plays a pivotal role in bridging the gap between construction projects and the communities they impact. This position is responsible for developing and implementing effective communication strategies that foster positive relationships with local residents, businesses, and stakeholders. The specialist will serve as the primary liaison, addressing community concerns, providing timely project updates, and facilitating public engagement initiatives. By proactively managing outreach efforts, the role ensures that community feedback is integrated into project planning and execution, thereby enhancing project acceptance and minimizing disruptions. Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Urban Planning, or a related field.At least 3 years of experience in community outreach, public relations, or stakeholder engagement, preferably within the construction or infrastructure sector.Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey complex information clearly and diplomatically.Proficiency in using digital communication tools and social media platforms to engage diverse audiences.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working on construction or civil engineering projects with direct community impact.Familiarity with local government processes and regulatory requirements related to public engagement.Bilingual abilities, particularly in Spanish, to effectively communicate with diverse community populations.Certification in community engagement or public relations.Proficiency with graphic design or content creation software to develop outreach materials.Responsibilities:

Develop and execute comprehensive community outreach plans tailored to specific construction projects.Organize and lead public meetings, workshops, and informational sessions to engage community members and gather feedback.Serve as the main point of contact for community inquiries, concerns, and complaints related to construction activities.Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and local government officials to ensure community input is considered in project decisions.Prepare and distribute clear, accurate, and timely communication materials such as newsletters, press releases, and social media updates.Monitor community sentiment and report on outreach effectiveness, adjusting strategies as needed to improve engagement.Maintain detailed records of community interactions and feedback to support project documentation and compliance requirements.Skills:
