The University of New Hampshire is hiring a part-time Communications Specialist for the ADAPT Agroforestry Project. The role involves developing communication materials, including a newsletter, to promote climate-smart agriculture practices in New England. Candidates should have experience in communications, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently and in teams. The position is based in Durham, NH and is not remote.

The ADAPT project—Promoting Climate-Smart and Sustainable Agriculture in New England through Regionally Adapted Agroforestry Systems—encourages broad adoption of agroforestry practices in New England through research, education and extension. Agroforestry is the intentional integration of trees with crops and/or livestock. The project’s work is focused specifically on three agroforestry practices: silvopasture, food forests, and forest farming. The Communications Specialist will lead efforts on developing our newsletter and other aspects of communication.
