Green Mountain Transit is hiring a Commercial Vehicle Pilot in St Albans City, VT. The Transportation Specialist will operate a CDL-type vehicle for passenger transport, conduct vehicle inspections, assist disabled riders, and communicate with dispatchers. Applicants must have a valid CDL with endorsements, a clean driving record, and pass background checks. This is a part-time position with no degree required.

About the Role:
• As a Transportation Specialist, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a CDL-type vehicle in the transport of passengers
• Conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are roadworthy
• Provide assistance to disabled riders when necessary
• Interact with passengers in a courteous and professional manner
• Obeys all applicable traffic laws and regulations
• Communicates with dispatchers to stay informed about route schedules and any changes to the itinerary

Requirements:
• A valid CDL with Passenger and Air Brake endorsements
• A clean driving record and ability to pass standard background checks
• Able to pass a DOT medical physical and pre-employment drug screen
• Familiarity with transportation services and excellent customer service skills
