Job Description

Univar Solutions is hiring a Commercial Sustainability Lead to enhance their Sustainable & Natural Product portfolio. The role involves developing sustainable supplier relationships, facilitating commercial training, and leveraging data for growth initiatives. Candidates should have experience in product management, customer service, and sustainability. This is a home-based position available to candidates in Canada and select US states.

The Regional Commercial Sustainability Lead will guide the creation, enhancement, and expansion of Sustainable & Natural Product (SNP) portfolio, own sustainable supplier business development and enable commercial sustainability expertise in the respective region.

What you´ll do:
• Create, grow, and expand Univar Solution’s sustainable and natural product portfolio by facilitating commercial training, educating customers and suppliers with profitable growth in mind and enabling commercial growth via joint customer and supplier engagements.
• Make decisions with the best data available and socializing new information to a global matrix of sustainable stakeholders.
• Leverage qualitative and quantitative data to drive informed decisions and targeted growth initiatives.
• Research, develop and nurture sustainable suppliers in the respective region and manage a growing pipeline of sustainable suppliers to position Univar Solutions to secure new sustainable suppliers.
• Cross functionally work with Product Marketing Managers, Commercial—Sales through Customer Service, IT, Digital Marketing, Marketing Managers, Communications, Legal, Corporate ESG and New Business Development.
• Lead and participate in regular regional stakeholder meetings.
• Develop strategies to effectively manage current and future challenges and opportunities; develop recommendations and actionable plans.
• Distribute and collect customer surveys to understand voice of the customer and incorporate into the commercial sustainability strategy.

What´ll you need:
• 3+ years of product management or similar experience
• 3+ years of customer service or sales experience
• 3+ years of IT technology, and/or client device services experience specifically with Salesforce, Veeva and product information management systems
• Sustainability background with ESG experience and or Sustainability certification
• Executive-level communication & presentation skills
• Experience working with global teams and conducting business internationally

Where you´ll work:
• Home-based opportunity for candidates located anywhere in Canada. Some states in the US will be considered: OH, TX, FL, WI, MN, PA, GA, IN, KY, MS.
