Job Description

Bell Bank is seeking a Commercial Lines Account Assistant for future openings. This role involves supporting account managers by processing documentation in Epic, handling endorsements, renewals, and certificates of insurance, and maintaining client records. Candidates should have strong computer skills and preferably property and casualty insurance experience. This is a full-time position based in Grand Forks, ND.

Job Summary:

This position works with the agency account managers and advisors to provide internal support through processing and documentation in Epic through established workflows and procedures.

Primary Duties:
• Process change endorsements, audits, renewals and new policies, checking for accuracy.
• Prepare letters for account manager or advisor signature.
• Process requests for certificates of insurance within 24 hours of request.
• Invoice agency bill transactions.
• Maintain all client activity and suspense items in Epic.
• Prepare auto ID cards, certificates, evidence of property, insurance binders.
• Communicate with insurance carriers as needed.
• Prioritize workload and/or request assistance as required.
• Problem solve as possible prior to seeking assistance from an account manager.
• Seek advice from account managers when problems arise.
• Keep current on rates, forms and coverage changes.
• Maintain required licenses.
• Follow agency workflows.
• Know by name and face as many customers and employees as possible, calling them by name as often as possible.
• Know and practice LOCBUTN, our Golden Rules, and Bell Bank Customer Service Standards.
• Know, understand, and live the company values and bottom line.
• Conduct activities consistent with established Bell Bank policies, procedures and systems, and all applicable state and federal laws and regulations.
• All employees are responsible for information security, including compliance with policies and standards which protect sensitive information.
• Prompt and reliable attendance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Skills Required:
• Proficient computer skills, working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, and strong date entry skills.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and set priorities.
• Property and Casualty insurance experience highly desired.
• Insurance license, or work to obtain insurance license.
