About the position
The College Intern - Sustainability Policy position at SRP is designed to support the Sustainability Policy and Programs department in executing sustainability-focused employee programs. The intern will play a crucial role in promoting adoption and positive behavior change among employees to help SRP achieve its 2035 sustainability goals. This role requires excellent research, organizational, analytical, and writing skills, along with a strong customer service ethic and a commitment to quality.
Responsibilities
• Support the sustainability team in carrying out employee sustainability programs such as Ride Share, Workplace Charging, Local Roots Market, Green Team, and corporate events like Earth Day and Sustainability Fair.

• Manage employee program tasks including event coordination, communications, content creation, research, data collection, reporting, employee support, outreach, and technical assistance.

• Assist the sustainability team in other project areas as needed.
Requirements
• Currently enrolled in college with a minimum of 6 college credit hours per semester.

• Excellent research, organizational, analytical, and writing skills.
,
• Strong customer service ethic and willingness to work collaboratively.
,
• Ability to work independently with a commitment to quality and attention to detail.
,
• Curiosity and creativity in approaching sustainability.
Nice-to-haves
• Sustainability degree program preferred but not required.
