Hays is seeking a Coastal Waterfront Climate Resilience Engineer in New York, NY, to join their Water Management/Climate Adaptation team. The role involves delivering innovative solutions to combat climate change and coastal hazards, requiring a relevant degree and 10+ years of experience. Your new role
We are looking for an experienced Coastal and Waterfront Climate Resilience Engineer to join this Water Management/Climate Adaptation team. This practice focuses on delivering innovative and transformative solutions to address the challenges posed by climate change and coastal hazards while improving the quality of life.
You’ll be at the forefront of addressing climate change and coastal hazards, making a tangible difference in communities and the environment. You will lead, interact and interpret engineering input across disciplines and stakeholders to see a project to completion. All the while having the opportunity to grow into a national role, allowing you to expand your influence and expertise.
What you'll need to succeed
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural/Geotechnical/Coastal/Water Engineering, or a related field
• 10++ years of experience in infrastructure design and implementation
• Design experience, including putting together plans and specifications
• Ability to draw sets with technical specifications in waterfront and coastal structures
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, both in-person and virtually, to interpret engineering input to outsiders and take projects to completion
• Experience in developing design plans and specifications for and/or implementing coastal resilience and waterfront projects
• Professional Engineer (PE) License required
