Clinical-Scientific - Bench Scientist

Pioneer Data Systems, Inc. is seeking a Scientist I (PCR/ELISA) for an 18-month contract in St. Louis, MO, with potential for extension. Job Description:
Position Summary
The scientist filling this position will work within a highly-matrixed team setting on a variety of modalities including vaccines, viral constructs, therapeutic proteins, and monoclonal antibodies.
The contractor will work in a cGMP testing environment performing sample testing and method qualification.

Work skills required:
Experience with DNA techniques (qPCR) and/or ELISA is required.
Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook) is required.
Must be able to understand and follow standard operating procedures.

Position Responsibilities
Analytical testing by qPCR and/or ELISA in a cGMP environment
Analysis and documentation of results
Routine lab duties (ex. reagent preparation, consumable stocking)

Organizational Relationships
The qualified candidate will join the Bioassay and Impurities Testing group, which is part of the Analytical R&D organization located in St. Louis, MO to enable the development of biological therapeutics at Pharmaceutical.
The position will be part of a highly matrixed team responsible for developing analytical methodologies (qPCR, ELISA) and strategies needed to progress biotherapeutic products through the pipeline.

Education And Experience
Preferred education is a bachelor's degree with 1-3 years of working experience in DNA techniques (qPCR) and/or ELISA.

Technical Skills Requirements
Analytical testing by qPCR and/or ELISA in a cGMP environment
Analysis and documentation of results
Routine lab duties (ex. reagent preparation, consumable stocking)

Physical Position Requirements
Ability to stand or sit at the lab bench to perform experiments
Ability to sit for extended periods at a desk to complete documentation and computer work
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
