Job Description
EVORA Global is hiring a Climate Risk Consultant - Senior Consultant in New York, NY. The role involves delivering climate risk assessments, developing strategies, and engaging stakeholders. Candidates should have 2+ years (Consultant) or 5+ years (Senior Consultant) experience in relevant fields, a degree in Environmental Science or related discipline, and strong analytical skills. This is a full-time position focused on sustainability and climate risk management.
ABOUT THIS ROLE
We are seeking motivated and talented individuals to join our specialist Climate Resilience team at EVORA. This role is available at multiple levels, from Consultant to Director, to support and lead our growing global climate risk and resilience consultancy services.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
Core responsibilities will vary by level but will include:
Consultant / Senior Consultant:
• Deliver climate risk and resilience assessments for clients, including qualitative and quantitative analysis.
• Support the development of climate risk and resilience strategies aligned with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
• Assist in stakeholder engagement and the integration of climate risk strategies into clients’ decision-making processes.
• Conduct research and provide technical insights on climate risk management, disclosure frameworks, and legislative requirements.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to enhance service offerings.
• Contribute to the development of tools, models, and methodologies for climate risk assessments.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS
The ideal candidate must have the following skills and qualifications, with requirements increasing by seniority:
Consultant / Senior Consultant:
• A passion for furthering the sustainability agenda.
• 2+ years (Consultant) / 5+ years (Senior Consultant) of experience in real asset investment management, risk management, sustainability, or related fields.
• A degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Understanding of UK and EU climate legislation and disclosure requirements for real estate (experience with US/global climate risk programmes is desirable).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with clients and stakeholders.
• Highly articulate and numerate, with the ability to communicate the business case for ESG integration and climate risk management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and climate risk assessment tools.
