About the position
The Climate Resilience Specialist role at RTI International focuses on assisting local communities in applying for and managing federal grants aimed at mitigating the impacts of climate change. Responsibilities
• Assist local communities in applying for federal grants related to climate change mitigation.

• Engage with community members and stakeholders to assess needs and build capacity.

• Communicate risks and create training materials for community education.
,
• Work across different levels of government to implement climate resilience strategies.
,
• Gather, process, and interpret scientific data relevant to climate adaptation.
Requirements
• Master's degree in a relevant field and at least 3 years of experience in climate adaptation and resilience, or a Bachelor's degree with 6 years of experience.

• Experience in climate adaptation and resilience practices.
,
• Understanding of challenges faced by underserved communities, including Tribal and rural populations.
,
• Experience in hazard mitigation, agriculture, emergency planning, affordable housing, nature-based solutions, land conservation, resilient transportation, or coastal management.

• Strong communication and organizational skills.
Nice-to-haves
• Experience with statistical and geospatial analysis tools.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
