Climate Risk and Resilience Practice

We have established a leading climate risk and resilience practice that specializes in assessing climate vulnerability and risk, evaluating and prioritizing adaptation strategies and producing implementable and actionable climate plans for clients.
Job Opportunity

We are seeking a Climate Resilience Associate or Senior Analyst to join our team supporting clients' growing needs for evaluating physical, transition, and organizational climate risks, and adaptation strategies. The successful candidate will be highly motivated and eager to learn with excellent written and verbal communication skills. Our team supports transportation agencies, utilities, state agencies, private equity, and companies, among others. The position will be remote with a preference for a Boston-based candidate.
Responsibilities
• Support our efforts with transportation and public agencies in climate risk and resilience, equity-based communications, and climate program development and implementation.
• Prepare technical summaries, memoranda, website content, and email correspondence.
• Perform climate-related impact analyses.
• Schedule and plan internal and external meetings including developing agendas and presentation materials.
• Communicate effectively with clients and internal TRC staff.
Qualifications
• 2 to 5 years of consulting experience in climate planning, risk, and resilience topics (experience is more important for this position than advanced degrees).
• Bachelor's degree required. All degrees will be considered including a degree in Environmental Policy, Environmental Engineering, Political Science, Sociology with emphasis on climate and/or data analysis and qualitative research.
• Strategic thinker and comfortable with innovating during project work.
• Experience balancing multiple projects, timelines, and deliverables.
• Able to hit the ground running in a fast-paced exciting environment.
• Strong ability to prioritize, organize, and perform across multiple work assignments.
• Excellent organization and communication skills are mandatory.
• Ability to work independently, as part of the team, and cross-collaboratively with other groups.
• Ability to prepare clear and concise reports, correspondence, and other written materials.
• Ability to translate technical topics into materials for non-technical audiences.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Compensation

In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors.

USD $73,902.00 - USD $95,118.00 /Yr.
