MPOWIR is seeking a Climate Researcher in Canberra, Australia, to join the Climate & Fluid Physics group as a Research Fellow. Job Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and creative scientist to join our Climate & Fluid Physics group as a Research Fellow. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop and lead a world-class research portfolio, contribute to research-led teaching and training activities, and undertake novel research on the fluid dynamics of the climate system.

The Research School of Earth Sciences at the Australian National University is Australia's leading academic program in Earth and Marine Science. Our research agenda covers all aspects of the Earth system, from climate change through to deep earth processes; from the distant past to future projections.

Research Opportunities:
This position offers the opportunity to work with a talented team of researchers on cutting-edge projects, including the development of Australia's next high-resolution global ocean-sea ice model (ACCESS-OM2), thermodynamic approaches that integrate water cycle observations and modelling across land and ocean domains, and the fluid mechanics of basal melting of the Antarctic ice sheet.

Key Responsibilities:
Develop and lead a world-class research portfolio
Contribute to research-led teaching and research training activities
Undertake novel research on the fluid dynamics of the climate system, including turbulence and circulation of the ocean and atmosphere
