About the position

The Climate Education Extension Associate at Clemson University is a pivotal role designed to enhance climate education through the development and implementation of Extension toolkits and outreach programs. This position will involve collaborating closely with the Project Team to create educational resources that effectively communicate climate-related information to various stakeholders. The Associate will be responsible for designing and managing these toolkits, which may include publications, websites, and social media content aimed at raising awareness and providing education on climate issues. In addition to toolkit development, the Associate will organize outreach events such as workshops, trainings, and webinars. These events are crucial for engaging the community and disseminating knowledge about climate education. The role will also require conducting literature reviews to support the development of relevant and impactful curriculum materials. The Associate will play a key role in program administration, coordinating with the steering committee and project investigators to ensure that all activities related to the grant are executed in a timely, cost-efficient, and effective manner. This includes organizing project meetings and various events related to the grant, such as stakeholder meetings and sessions at extension conferences. Furthermore, the Associate will manage the project budget, ensuring continuous internal auditing and compiling annual reports for the sponsor, thereby maintaining transparency and accountability in the project's financial management.
