About the Project

The University System of New Hampshire is part of a large, transdisciplinary team working on a 5-year USDA-funded project focused on promoting climate-smart and sustainable agriculture for expanding food production in New England through regionally adapted agroforestry systems. The project aims to evaluate the productive potential, climate resilience, and ecosystem services provided by different agroforestry systems in New England and inform the design of agroforestry systems adapted to the region's unique biophysical and socio-economic landscape.

The successful candidate will participate in regular team meetings, contribute to project planning and evaluation processes, and assist with the implementation and management of experimental agroforestry research trials. This position offers a unique opportunity to work on a large-scale, interdisciplinary project with a strong focus on collaboration and teamwork.

Preferred Qualifications
• Specialization in agroforestry is strongly preferred.
• Experience working as a member of a large, transdisciplinary team.
• Experience mentoring undergraduate and/or graduate students.
