Climate Change Analyst

The University of Reading is seeking a Postdoctoral Research Scientist for the CANARI project in Mexico City. We are looking for a highly motivated Postdoctoral Research Scientist to join our team at the University of Reading. As a member of the NCAS research group, you will contribute to the CANARI project, focusing on simulations of extreme storms impacting the UK in present and future climates.

Key responsibilities include:
<br><br>• Performing simulations of present and future extreme storms forced by boundary conditions from the CANARI Large Ensemble<br>• Analyzing and evaluating the simulations, focusing on the impact of climate change on heavy precipitation, inland flooding, and extreme winds<br>• Collaborating with CANARI partners on regional climate change and high-impact weather<br><br>
To succeed in this role, you must have a strong background in atmospheric science, engineering, physics, or mathematics, along with excellent programming and data analysis skills.
