Antea Group is hiring a Climate and Carbon Accounting Services Consultant to lead their Sustainability Practice. The role involves advising clients on climate emissions, managing projects, and driving business development. Candidates should have a Master's in a STEM field and 8-12 years of carbon management experience. The position is full-time, allows remote work from anywhere in the U.S., with travel up to 20%. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential.
Antea USA, Inc. (Antea®Group) is a global provider of Environmental, Health, Safety, and Sustainability (EHS&S) services and solutions across multiple industries. We are seeking an experienced Climate and Carbon Accounting Services Consultant to join our growing Sustainability Practice and act as Service Line Leader of CCAS. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise in climate and carbon accounting with proven excellence in leadership and management and the ability to identify and cultivate new business opportunities. You will work closely with our clients to design and implement carbon reduction strategies, while also playing a key role in expanding our client base and growing our market presence.

This role is full-time with travel up to an estimated 20%. The preferred candidates must reside in the United States.

Essential functions include but are not limited to:
• Advise clients on climate emissions measurement, reporting and reduction strategy development across various sectors, including consumer products, industrial manufacturing, technology, and more.
• Lead and mentor a team of consultants, fostering their professional development and skill-building.
• Manage projects effectively, ensuring timely completion and client satisfaction.
• Drive business development efforts and contribute to the growth of the carbon accounting service line.

Qualifications:
• Master's degree in a STEM field such as energy, engineering, climate science or related or equivalent experience or credentials
• 8-12 years of experience in carbon management, including greenhouse gas (GHG) inventory development and carbon reduction strategies.
• Expertise in Scope 3 GHG accounting, including setting emissions boundaries, forecasting, and developing assumptions/emissions factors for supply chains is essential.
• Demonstrated understanding of and experience with California's SB 253 and SB 261, including the requirements for Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions reporting and climate-related financial risk disclosures. This will be essential for advising clients operating in California.
• Practical experience applying the following GHG accounting and reporting frameworks: World Resources Institute (WRI)/GHG Protocol, Science Based Targets initiative (SBTI), Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD), Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), ISO 14064
• Proven ability to translate GHG emissions findings into actionable decarbonization recommendations.
• Strong project management and team leadership skills, with a focus on people development.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex ESG and sustainability concepts to senior leadership (C-Suite, Board level).
• Experience driving multi-phase projects with diverse teams and stakeholders.
• Ability to work collaboratively across departments and service lines.
• Demonstrated ability to provide clear expectations, role clarity, and effective leadership to a team of emerging consultants. This includes navigating workload fluctuations and providing guidance on utilizing credited hours during periods of low client work is critical.
• Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship, now or in the future.
• Potential employees must be able to satisfactorily complete a background check, pre-employment drug screening (as permitted by law), and baseline physical (safety-sensitive roles). They must also have a valid driver's license and good driving record.

Physical Requirements / Work Environment - Maintain physical condition appropriate to the performance of assigned duties and responsibilities, which may include the following:
• Sedentary to light work (typical office or administrative work)
• Frequently required to stand, sit and walk for extended periods of time
• Occasional lifting and carrying of low (under 25lbs) to moderate (25-49lbs) weight objects
• Repetitive motions: substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers (including reaching)
• Subject to inside environmental conditions (protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature change)
• Operation of a motor vehicle

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

The annual salary range for this position is $125,000 - $140,000. Compensation will vary depending on the applicant’s job-related knowledge and skills, education, and work experience.
