About the position

Tactica Solutions LLC is seeking an experienced and qualified Climate Advocacy Strategist for a Systems Engineering & Technical Assistance (SETA) contract supporting the U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command (USASMDC) Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff, Engineer (DCSENG) for facilities engineering & sustainment and environmental planning & compliance at Redstone Arsenal, Alabama. The Climate Advocacy Strategist will provide Subject Matter Expertise (SME) level leadership, direction, advocacy, and climate strategy to achieve environmental compliance objectives and mission goals. This role involves researching and analyzing climate resilience studies and literature to assess current and future condition levels, providing recommendations to prevent and/or mitigate consequences. The strategist will identify and monitor environmental vulnerabilities negatively impacting the climate and develop risk management plans that establish probability including appropriate elimination, transference, mitigation, or acceptance strategies. Additionally, the role requires leading preventative and corrective action efforts, conducting root cause and statistical analyses, and reporting findings. Proficiency in using MS Office software applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Project, Teams, Outlook) is essential, as the strategist will coordinate with and brief high-level military, USG, subcontractor, vendor, and supplier personnel. Establishing, collaborating, and maintaining professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders is a key aspect of this position. The strategist will also represent DCSENG in-person or virtually while attending environmental compliance and climate strategy conferences and seminars, along with other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities
• Provide Subject Matter Expertise (SME) level leadership, direction, advocacy, and climate strategy to achieve environmental compliance objectives and mission goals.

• Research and analyze climate resilience studies and literature to assess current and future condition levels and provide recommendations to prevent and/or mitigate consequences.

• Identify and monitor environmental vulnerabilities negatively impacting the climate and develop risk management plans that establish probability including appropriate elimination, transference, mitigation, or acceptance strategies.

• Lead preventative and corrective action efforts, conduct root cause and statistical analyses and report findings.

• Demonstrate proficiency using MS Office software applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Project, Teams, Outlook) with the capability to coordinate with and brief high-level military, USG, subcontractor, vendor, and supplier personnel.

• Establish, collaborate, and maintain professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
,
• Represent DCSENG in-person or virtually while attending environmental compliance and climate strategy conferences and seminars.
,
• Complete other duties as assigned.

Requirements
• Bachelor's degree.
,
• Minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience supporting Government customer(s) within the Department of Defense (DOD) community.
,
• Provide timely and accurate contract deliverables (e.g. monthly status reports, trip reports, slide presentations, project updates, integrated master schedules, etc.).
,
• Proficient working in a demanding and flexible environment and demonstrated ability to effectively organize, prioritize, delegate, and multi-task.
,
• Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
,
• Capable of planning, participating in and leading conference calls, technical interchange meetings, impromptu updates, and preparing comprehensive meeting minutes.
,
• Ability and willingness to occasionally travel in support of customer requirements to include OCONUS locations.
,
• May be required to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance at the appropriate level for the duration of the contract Period of Performance. U.S. citizenship is required to be eligible for a security clearance.

Nice-to-haves
• Master's degree in Environmental Sciences.
,
• Knowledge of U.S. Army rank and grade structure, government civilian pay scale equivalencies, regulations, and other organizations specific to USASMDC.
,
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
,
• Active security clearance with current investigation, a plus.
